Steli Efti joins me on the Salesman Podcast to discuss sales hustle and why it's the only thing that will guarantee your success as a salesman.


Natural born salesman?

We start the show by diving into Steli's background and then I ask him if he believes he is a natural born salesman.

“I have a high tolerance for pain which surely helps in sales”

Then Steli explains how he has improved his sales skill over time by being working on self development and by recording himself to see what needs changing.


The Quickest Way To Improve Is To Know Yourself

Next we pretty deep and Steli explains that he isn't always the charismatic, high energy character that you will have seen on stage and in youtube videos.

“I seem like a pretty upbeat, energetic guy. People think that I'm always on, always outgoing but I'm also an introvert to a certain degree”

Steli explains that it's human for sales people to not feel on top form 24/7 but the real hustlers don't allow how they're feeling in that moment to determine how they are going to perform that day.

“Once you're able to step into action even when you don't feel like it, magic happens.”

We wrap up the show by talking about the fact that no human being is perfect, everyone gets down in the dumps but it's the salespeople who are willing to pull themselves back out of it that will claim more than their fair share of commission payments.
