How To Remember Anything
The show is kicked off with Mark explaining that all memory is creation. When you remember something you’re creating an image in your mind using your senses.
The more senses you can tie into the creation of that memory, the more likely you are going to be able to recall it further down the line.
“All memory is actually creation” – Mark Channon
Mark then shares his thoughts on the process of remembering someones face or name.
Being able to say “Hi name” to a potential customer that you meet at a conference or randomly at a business function builds huge rapport because it shows them that you have taken the time to remember their name on both a conscious and unconscious level.
“There’s more neurons dedicated to the visual system in the brain than any other sense.” – Mark Channon
The show is wrapped up with Mark pointing out that visualising what you want to remember is generally the easiest way to sink it deeper into your long term memory as that is simply how our brains are wired.
