We start the show by looking into Matthews background as a B2B salesman and see where all the skills he picked up in this role translates to what he does today.
Can introverts make great salespeople?
Matthew explains that he is actually an introvert (which you might not have guessed from the show if he hadn’t specifically stated it) and we look at how this might actually be an asset in sales.
“I’m incredibly introverted, when people find that out it surprises them. What I’d suggest is that I’m a forced extrovert”
We look at how introverts can force themselves to appear like extroverts by thinking out their pitches and conversations before hand and so not having to rely on the sales gift of the gab.
The importance of sales systems
Next we look at the important of implementing sales systems to reduce stress and improve the number of closed deals by having a systematic approach which can be improved on over time.
Why sales scripts will earn you more money
Finally we wrap up the show with Matthew giving us examples of how he implemented a sales script with his sales teams, the process of doing so and the massive effect on turnover this had.
