Clearing Emotional Clutter

The show is kicked off with Donald explaining how the listeners can know if they’re stressed, fatigued and not in the best shape mentally. Clearly knowing your baseline is the first step in removing some of the emotional clutter which is bouncing around your head.

“Just sit and pay attention to your breath. It’s a start.” – Donald Altman

Donald then shares how important sleep is to brain function and the ability to be ‘on’ which is something salespeople require whenever they’re dealing with customers.

“Even two days of not enough sleep puts your body into a chronic stress state” Donald Altman

Will and Donald then cover how to deal with emotional clutter through some simple, 3 minute a day exercises.

“If you work non stop, on outcome oriented work like salesmen do, you’re eventually going to deplete your brain energy” Donald Altman

The show is wrapped up with Donald explaining how our brain is constantly being wired, rewired and changed depending on the thoughts you’re having, the stress you’re under and the environment you’re in.

It’s a very sobering thought that the pain in the ass customer that calls and complains to you every Friday afternoon is making a physical change to your brain structure.

“Where you place your attention and the thoughts you have, literally re-wire the neuro-architecture of your brain” Donald Altman
