Dwight Schrute from the Office (the US version is far better than the UK version in my humble opinion) is one of my favourite TV characters of all time. Here are some sales lessons he’s taught us over the past few years.
1) You have to believe in yourself before anyone else will

2) You need to spend your time hustling, not fooling around

3) You need to be assertive to close deals

4) It’s OK to have feelings. People buy from people

5) You should spend time selling not following popular culture

6) It’s OK to get close to customers

7) But not too close…

8) How to motivate yourself to close some deals

9) And how to seduce a customer into closing those deals

10) that it’s fine to get pissed off when you lose a customer

11) And it’s sometimes OK to want to get your own back

11) But most of the time it’s better to just take control of the situation

12) And hustle to replace them

13) You need to listen more than you speak in sales meetings

14) And you need to make yourself available to customers

15) As this makes them loyal to you

16) You need to crush the competition

17) You need to focus on your on sales figures and nothing else

18) Apart from occasionally sharing posts like this on social media

19) You need to be honest with customers

20) And that you need to take the time to understand their problems

21) But most importantly, you should never give up on your dreams
